SKOWHEGAN — D.J. Allen’s three-run home run with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning lifted the Skowhegan baseball team to a 4-3 win over Lewiston in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A action Friday.

With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Chase Whittemore walked and Chase Nelson was hit by a pitch. Austin Wing came on in relief for the Blue Devils, and Allen hit his first pitch over the left field wall for the victory.

Allen went 3 for 4 with four RBIs for Skowhegan (5-8). Adam Clukey added two singles for the Indians.

Wing had two hits for Lewiston (6-6).

MESSALONSKEE 8, BRUNSWICK 7: The Eagles scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Johnathan Wilkie’s sacrifice fly scored the tying run, then the Eagles (9-2) took the lead when Caleb Bean reached on an error.

Jake Dexter doubled and singled for Messalonskee. Charlie Lowell and Ryan Maciejewski each doubled for Brunswick (6-6).

ERSKINE 9, MEDOMAK 6: Jared Gartley came on in relief in the first ining and pitched the rest of the way to lead the Eagles to the KVAC B win in South China. The senior also belted a solo homer.

Ryan Rodrigue singled, doubled and drove in three runs for Erskine (5-7) while Tyler Bailey singled and doubled and Luke Peabody singled twice. Micah Williamson had two singles and a double for Medomak (3-9) while Ollie Brown singled and doubled.

LAWRENCE 12, MT. ARARAT 2, 5 innings: Alex Chesley homered and doubled as Lawrence pounded out 15 hits to take the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Matt Champney had three hits for Lawrence (5-6). Eric Bowen and Kyle McLain each drove in two runs for the Bulldogs. Mt. Ararat is 2-10.

WINSLOW 14, MCI 0, 5 innings: Zach Guptill hit a grand slam in the first inning to lead the Black Raiders to the KVAC B win in Winslow.

Guptill also hit a double and two singles, and drove in seven runs. Dameron Roderigue, Dylan Hapworth, Trevor Lovely and Ben Smith each had two hits for Winslow (10-3).

Jake Trask struck out nine and walked one for the win. Greg Vigue doubled for MCI (1-12).

LEAVITT 8, MT. VIEW 6: Nate Rousseau hit a two-run homer in the top of the seventh as the Hornets rallied for three runs to pull out the KVAC B win in Thorndike.

Mitchell Davis hit a solo homer for Leavitt in the seventh to tie the game. Sam Godfrey had three hits for Leavitt while Drew Gosselin singled, doubled and knocked in two runs. Emmett Shell led the Mustangs with two hits and a suicide squeeze that tied the game in the sixth inning while Mikey Hustus and Jack Axsom each singled twice. Leavitt is 5-7, Mt. View is 3-10.

CARRABEC 6, MT. ABRAM 0: Levi Murray tossed a two-hit shutout to lead the Cobras to the Mountain Valley Conference win.

Murray struck out three and walked one. Dustin Crawford drove in two runs for Carrabec (6-5). Johnny Hart doubled for Mt. Abram (5-8).

WATERVILLE 3, NOKOMIS 2: Adam Barre pitched a complete-game five hitter for his first varsity win as the Purple Panthers beat the Warriors in KVAC B action in Waterville.

Barre struck out three and walked one. He also had a triple, a single and an RBI for Waterville (10-2).

Aron Snested had two singles for Nokomis. Zach Ramsdell took the loss despite pitching a three-hitter.

SOFTBALL

SKOWHEGAN 16, LEWISTON 0: Mikayla Toth had three hits and an RBI and Eliza Bedard had a triple and scored four runs as the Indians cruised to the KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Winning pitcher Kaitlyn Therriault had three hits, including a double, and drove in a run for Skowhegan (10-3). Taylor Johnson and Andrea Quirion each had a double and a single.

Lewiston dropped to 1-11.

ERSKINE 12, MEDOMAK 5: The Eagles scored five runs in the second and fifth innings en route to the KVAC B win in South China.

Mallory Chamberlain, Emma Robertson, Avery Bond and Mackenzie Gayer had two hits apiece for Erskine (3-9). Chamberlain struck out eight in getting the pitching win. Medomak is 4-8.

MESSALONSKEE 14, BRUNSWICK 2: Kassi Michaud pitched a four-hitter, striking out eight and walking none, to lead the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Kirsten Pelleter had two singles and an RBI for Messalonskee (7-4) while Kylee Knight added two singles.

Shelby Plourde doubled for Brunswick.

WINSLOW 13, MCI 4: Hannah Doble had a triple, a double, an RBI and picked up the win in the circle to lead the Black Raiders to the KVAC B victory in Winslow.

Doble allowed five hits and struck out five. Jenna Petrovic and Kiana Richards also doubled for Winslow (10-3). Hayley Pottle added two singles and two RBIs.

Ryleigh Lord led MCI (3-10) with a single and two RBIs while Hailey Stewart added a single.

MT. ABRAM 11, CARRABEC 9: The Roadrunners used two big innings to take the MVC win over the Cobras.

Mt. Abram (4-9) scored six runs in the first inning and five runs in the sixth. Sarenah Lariviere had a pair of hits for the Roadrunners.

Paige Chadbourne and Lyndsay Chestnut each had two hits for Carrabec (5-6).

LAWRENCE 8, MT. ARARAT 7: Abby King hit a three-run homer to help the Bulldogs take the KVAC A win in Fairfield.

Paigle Belanger and Molly Moen each had two hits, including a double, for Lawrence (3-8). Piper Ingle had two hits, including a triple, for Mt. Ararat (3-8).

HAMPDEN 3, MT. BLUE 1: Rilee Walker had a double, a single and scored a run to lead the Broncos to the KVAC A win in Farmington.

Abby Lord and Kierra Speed added two singles apiece for Hampden (5-7).

Kiana Thompson had two singles and three stolen bases for the Cougars (5-7) while Moesha Harrington added two singles.

RANGELEY 12-14, VALLEY 0-8: Taylor Esty had three hits, including a triple, in the opener and then followed it up with another triple in Game 2 as the Lakers cruised in Bingham.

Esty pitched complete games in both games.

Teagan Laweryson, who started both games for Valley, doubled for the Cavaliers (2-6).
