OAKLAND — Cam Abbott scored the winning run in the top of the 10th inning to lift the Mt. Blue High School baseball team to a 4-3 win over Messalonskee.
Colton Lawrence hit two singles for Mt. Blue (6-7), while Abbott hit a single and double.
Ben Frazee hit two doubles for Messalonskee (9-3). Jake Dexter and Zach Mathieu each hit two singles for the Eagles.
CONY 5, EDWARD LITTLE 2: Conner Perry had a two-run single in the fifth inning to give the Rams the lead and eventual win over the Red Eddies in Augusta.
Taylor Carrier and Mitchell Caron each had doubles for Cony (7-6). Reid Shostak had two singles.
Edward Little falls to 6-7.
SOFTBALL
MESSALONSKEE 10, MT. BLUE 4: Kristy Prelgovisk was a home run short of the cycle and drove in four runs to lead the Eagles to the KVAC win in Oakland.
Kylee Knight hit three singles for Messalonskee (8-4). Mariah Martin had two hits for Mt. Blue (5-7).
GIRLS LACROSSE
CHEVERUS 17, MESSALONSKEE 7: Ally Fischang and Kristen Kern each scored two goals, but it wasn’t enough for the Eagles, who fell to the Stags in Oakland.
India Languet, Mikayla Turner and Sydney Gagne each added a goal for Messalonskee (6-3).
Elyse Caiazzo scored three goals for Cheverus (6-2).
