Dr. Andre Nadeau, an Augusta chiropractor, was recently voted Chiropractor of the Year by the Maine Chiropractic Association.

Nadeau, who just completed a term as president of the association, has been practicing in the Augusta area for more than 20 years and has offices at 3 Health Drive, off Route 3, in Augusta.

While president of the association, Nadeau “worked on many critical issues dealing with” Maine residents’ access to chiropractic care, according to a press release.

Nadeau, in the press release, said that chiropractic care is cost effective and has a high level of patient satisfaction.

He said he “recognizes these benefits and feels if a treatment is safe, effective and patients are happy with care then they should have access to it. If the treatment saves money, then it should be promoted and encouraged” by health care insurance.
