MADISON — Madison Area Memorial High School recently announced the top 10 graduates in the class of 2014.

Valedictorian is Kristin Bishop, daughter of Vanessa and Frank Bishop, of Madison. Bishop has been active with student government, civil rights team, four-year class president, Girls State and Girls Nation, Maine State Board of Education, Hardy Girls, Healthy Women, and is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend Bowdoin College in the fall and plans to major in government and legal studies.

Kirsten Wood, daughter of Erin and Floyd Wood, of Madison, is the salutatorian. She plans to major in physical therapy at Husson University in the fall. Wood has played four years of soccer, basketball and softball. She is a member of the National Honor Society, business league, and student government.

Alexandria Jarvais is the daughter of Laurie Jarvais, of Madison, and Kevin Jarvais, of Skowhegan. She is a member of the National Honor Society, student government and the business league. She has played four years of basketball and softball and has participated in cross-country and soccer. Jarvais will pursue a pharmacy degree at the University of Rhode Island.

Tiffany Camire is the daughter of Suzann Martins, of Madison, and Joseph Camire, of Skowhegan. She has been active in National Honor Society, student government, business league, the Upward Bound program, Fellowship for Christian Athletes and both fall and competition cheering. She plans to major in nursing at Husson University in the fall.

Savanna Kandiko is the daughter of Blaise and Lynn Kandiko, of Madison. She plans to major in early childhood education at Thomas College. She has played soccer and softball for four years, is a member of the National Honor Society, business league, bowling and the Fellowship for Christian Athletes. Kandiko recently received the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Christopher Hayden is the son of Joseph and Kathleen Hayden, of Madison. He has played four years of football, basketball and track and field. Hayden plans to attend Springfield College and major in exercise science.

Justin Hadley is the son of Rebecca Hadley, of Madison, and Jeff Hadley, also of Madison. He is a member of the National Honor Society, has participated in band, student government, business league, bowling and played four years of tennis. He plans to attend the University of Southern Maine in a pre-dental program.

Emily McKenney is the daughter of Jennifer Hight, of Skowhegan, and Dan McKenney, of Madison. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the business league. She has been active in basketball and softball for four years and participated in soccer and cross-country. McKenney plans to major in accounting at Roger Williams University.

Joshua Girgis is the son of Julie and Sohby Girgis, of Madison. He is a member of the National Honor Society and has been active with robotics, the civil rights team and Fellowship for Christian Athletes as well as a four-year tennis player. He plans to major in engineering at the University of Maine in Orono this fall.

Thomas Serbis is the son of Christos and Ifgenia Serbis, of Madison. He has participated in robotics, track and field and basketball. Serbis plans to attend Wentworth Institute of Technology majoring in computer engineering.
