AUGUSTA — Cony High School has announced its Girls State and Boys State delegates.

Girls State:

Arika Brochu is the daughter of Lisa and Al Brochu of Augusta. Brochu is a member of the Madrigals and National Honor Society and participates in softball, field hockey, swimming and Chizzle Wizzle. She volunteered in Guatemala in February 2014 and at Riverside Athletix, Camp All Sports, the Kiwanis auction and Maine Medical Center. She plans on attending college where she can decide on a major in the medical field while playing softball.

Meghan Foye is the daughter of Chad and Kathy Foye of Chelsea. Foye is a member of Key Club and plays soccer and softball. Foye volunteers a lot of her time through the Key Club organization. She plans on attending college after high school.

Mary-Margaret Kirschner is the daughter of Cathy and John Kirschner of Augusta. Kirschner is a National Honor Society member and attended the Seeds of Peace program. She is a member of the varsity lacrosse and soccer teams as well as Spanish Club. Kirschner volunteers at the local hospital, Kennebec Cannons lacrosse and Seeds of Peace. Following graduation, Kirschner plans on attending college and majoring in physical therapy.

Olivia Rancourt is the daughter of Jeff and Tina Rancourt of Augusta. Rancourt is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, dance team and also teachers dance at Kennebec Dance Center. Rancourt enjoys volunteering her time at Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Red Cross and at St. Michael. She plans to attend college after high school.

Boys State:

Robbie Buck is the son of Jenna Cote of Augusta. Buck participates in tennis, swimming, Key Club and German Club. Buck is also an active member of the Rameses school newspaper and is involved in theater. Buck dedicates time at Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Maine State Museum. His future aspirations are to attend college after high school and study journalism.

Mitchell Caron is the son of Michael and Suzanne Caron of Augusta. Caron has been actively involved in football, basketball, baseball, Madrigals and Chizzle Wizzle. He is a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteers as a little league umpire and youth football coach. Mitchell plans to attend college to study athletic training and physical therapy.

Ryan Dumont is the son of Anthony and Michelle Dumont of Augusta. Dumont is an active participant on the varsity soccer, swim and track teams. He is a proud member of the National Honor Society, Chizzle Wizzle, band/chorus and Eagle Scouts. Dumont gives back to the community by volunteering his time at the Capitol Area Soccer Club, St. Michael and at Togus. He was selected to participate in the Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Program. Dumont plans on attending college after graduation.

Brandon Emerson is the son of William and Edie Emerson of Augusta. Brandon is a member of concert band, jazz band, chorus, cross country and indoor/outdoor track. Emerson volunteers at middle school track and cross country meets and in the East Auburn Baptist Church orchestra. He plans to attend college after graduating and major in civil engineering.

Thomas Foster is the son of James and Rebecca Foster of Augusta. Foster was an active participant and member of the varsity golf and basketball teams along with the American Legion baseball team. He has also participated in community service as a youth baseball coach. He plans to pursue a career in law enforcement or in the military.

Shaun Gallagher is the son of John and Valerie Gallagher of Augusta. Gallagher participates in National Honor Society, Cony High School pep and concert bands, Key Club, Boy Scouts and Latin Club. Gallagher is an active community member who volunteers time at MaineGeneral Rehabilitation & Long-Term Care at Gray Birch and angel food suppers at a local church. Gallagher has also written and directed plays for the Teens-Elementary School Shows program through the Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center.

Noah Gallagher is the son of John and Valerie Gallagher of Augusta. Gallagher enjoys being a part of Boy Scouts and his church. He dedicates time to the Augusta area hunger walk, delivers Thanksgiving meals through the United Methodist Church and volunteers at the Augusta Rehabilitation Center. He has been an active participant in theater through the Teens-Elementary School Shows program at the Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center.

Benjamin Leet is the son of William and Stephanie Leet of Augusta. Leet has been a member of the basketball and golf teams, as well as the Spanish Club, Seeds of Peace and Chizzle Wizzle. Leet assists with recreational and travel basketball with elementary and middle school-age students. He plans on attending college after graduation.

Liam Stokes is the son of William Stokes and Diane Doyen of Augusta. Stokes is a member of basketball, Student Council, Class Council and Spanish Club. He is also a member of Seeds of Peace. He has devoted many hours as a coach and referee for youth basketball and volunteers for Student Council activities. Stokes plans to attend college after high school.

Tyler Tardiff is the son of Marc and Marie Tardiff of Chelsea. Tardiff is an active member of the basketball team and baseball teams. He also participates in the Spanish Club and Chizzle Wizzle. Tardiff dedicates his community service hours to St. Michael School and as a youth basketball officiate. His future plans are to attend the University of Maine as an engineering major.
