NORTH ANSON — An invasive Plant Patrol Workshop is planned at Carrabec High School by students of biology and environmental science classes who are collaborating with the Embden Lake Association to build teams that will survey the lake for invasive aquatic plants this summer.

There will be a workshop held from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Carrabec High School to train in identification of these dangerous plants in our waters. After completing the workshop, students will participate in student/adult teams that will monitor the lake for invasive plant life this summer on Saturday, Aug. 11. Rain date is Sunday, Aug. 12.
