ATHENS — The 2014 Farm to Farm 5K series will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 17. The races will take place in the same location as previous years, beginning and ending at the Sites Strawberry Farm. Races, sponsored by Athens Victory Club, are held each Tuesday; rain or shine.
Each week features a theme and Jeopardy-style answer and question. The traditional handmade ribbons will be awarded each week in the usual categories.
The first race theme is Very Racey. Wear something representing any type race and receive one chance to win the raffle quilt. Additional chances will be available for $1 each.
Registration cost $3 and will begin at 5:15 p.m.
Free T-shirts will be available as long as they last at the first race only.
