June is a very busy month for Skowhegan and Canaan’s Lake George Regional Park. Each spring, school groups come from around central Maine to visit and enjoy the park. The groups use the park in a variety of ways, including service learning, hiking, swimming, exploring and barbecues.

We are honored to have children of all ages enjoying this special place.

Without the support of businesses and individuals, we would not be accessible to these groups. The park is managed for public use by Lake George Corp., a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and does not receive funding from the state. We rely on donations to offset the costs of school groups and are thankful for the ongoing support.
