A special caucus will be held Monday to nominate a Republican candidate for the seat held by State Rep. Lance Harvell.
Harvell has withdrawn as a candidate for re-election.
The nomination will be held 6:30 p.m. at the Farmington Community Center on Middle Street. Nominations for the seat will be taken from the floor.
The Republican nomination was left open earlier this month when Harvell announced he was withdrawing from his bid for re-election to House District 113.
Harvell, who has served two terms, was nominated by the party in an uncontested June 10 election.
The district has been redistricted to include Farmington and New Sharon. All party members from the two towns are invited to attend.
The nominee will face Edward David, who was nominated unopposed by the Democrats to run in the November election.
