I read the article about the decision to raise speed limits on Maine’s interstates with great interest. All I can say is, anyone who has driven on these roads recently will question whether drivers are now driving slower than 80 miles an hour.

I find 65 mph comfortable and continue to drive at that speed while cars and trucks speed by at at least 80 mph.

Time will certainly tell, but it’s hard to believe there won’t be an increase in accidents. In any case, I, for one, will avoid the interstates whenever possible.
