HALLOWELL — Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger recently presented five checks for $300 each to local Meals on Wheels programs. The presentation took place at the Spectrum Generations’ William S. Cohen Community Center, where funds were presented to a representative from each agency before the food delivery vans left to make the day’s visits.

The five area agencies on aging who received donations were Southern Maine Area Agency on Aging, which serves Cumberland and York counties; Aroostook Area Agency on Aging, which serves Aroostook County; Eastern Area Agency on Aging, which serves Hancock, Penobscot, Piscataquis and Washington counties; SeniorsPlus, which provides services to seniors in Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties; and Spectrum Generations, which serves Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Sagadahoc, Somerset and Waldo counties.
