A Freeman Township man banned from owning a firearm was arrested Wednesday by Maine State Police on a charge of threatening someone in his home with a gun.

Glendon Ladd, 25, of Freeman Township, was arrested on the charge of possession of firearm by a prohibited person, according to a press release from Sgt. Matt Casavant of the Maine State Police.

Police got a report of a disturbance on Foster Hill Road in the Franklin County township Wednesday by a caller who reported Ladd had threatened them with a firearm, Casavant said.

Trooper Aaron Turcotte arrested Ladd and he was taken to the Franklin County Detention Center.

Ladd is being held on a probation hold.
