July 30, there was a report of a stolen L.L. Bean tote bag at Damariscotta Lake Park. The bag reportedly was stolen while the owner swam.

Friday, a 2003 Ford F-150 being backed out of a parking area on Waldoboro Road by Jonathan P. Sawyer, 44, of Jefferson, hit an unoccupied 2007 Saturn parked across the road that was driven last by a 19-year-old Windsor man. Sawyer subsequently was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

July 19, police were called to Taber Hill Road by a taxi driver who reported a passenger refused to pay the fare or get out of the vehicle. The passenger ultimately paid the money and nobody was charged.

Thursday, there was a report of a catalytic converter having been stolen from a vehicle. The vehicle had not been driven for a week, so police are unsure when the theft occurred.

1:26 p.m., Mindie Mari Howard, 30, of Augusta, was arrested on a warrant charing unpaid fines and operating after suspension during a traffic stop on Arsenal Street.

July 27, Lawrence Sousa Jr., 46, was arrested on a $10,000 indictment warrant charging drug trafficking during a traffic stop on West Road.

July 21 at 12:35 p.m., William Gerrish, 60, was arrested on a warrant charging unpaid fines during a traffic stop on Route 27. The driver, a 77-year-old man, was charged with operating with an open container on a public way.
