Police in Richmond continue to seek those responsible for breaking into the Richmond Youth Recreation Association’s snack shack.

Police Chief Scott MacMaster said a person broke a side window and a bathroom door and stole food from inside the shack. The vandals also threw trash onto the nearby athletic fields.

The burglary, which was reported just before 5 p.m. on Aug. 8, occurred at some point during the previous week. MacMaster said someone was wounded during the break-in and left blood on the floor and counters. Police collected blood samples to develop DNA evidence.

The town owns the building, which is used to raise money for the recreation association’s mission of organizing youth sport leagues.

MacMaster asked anyone with information to call police at 373-8518.
