JAY MAN CHARGED WITH CRIMINAL SPEEDING

FARMINGTON — A Jay man was arrested on Saturday after police say he was driving 47 mph more than the speed limit.

Kyle Medcoff, 34, was charged with driving 92 mph in a 45 mph zone, according to Farmington Police Secretary Rachel Heseltine.

At 1:36 p.m., Officer Darin Gilbert saw a maroon Chevy drive by him on Knowlton Corner Road at what he estimated to be 80 mph. Using his radar, he clocked the car going 92 mph, said Heseltine.

“It’s a dangerous road to go 45 mph, let alone 92,” said Heseltine of the curved road near the Chesterville town line.

After Medcoff was pulled over, he told Gilbert that he was shocked he was recorded driving 92 mph, Heseltine said.
