CASTINE — Kajsa Kaufeldt scored in the 57th minute to give Thomas a 1-0 win over Becker in women’s soccer action Sunday.

The goal was assisted by Gardiner graduate Jenn Day. Paige Leary made eight saves for the Terriers (1-1).

Katherine Cormier and Kaitlyn Rose combined to make seven saves for Becker (0-2).

RIVIER 1, HUSSON 0: The Eagles outshot the Raiders 30-6 but took the loss in the end at the 10th Annual Husson Classic in Bangor. In the 77th minute, Rivier’s Maggie Cohoon was able to break through the defense and beat Husson goalie Jess Poulin, a Lawrence High School graduate. Poulin finished with a pair of saves while Rivier’s Lauren Goodspeed finished with 12.

Cohoon was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

FORDHAM 2, MAINE 0: Nicol Natale had a goal and an assist to lead the Rams the victory. Kate McDonnell also scored for Fordham (3-1-0). Ally White stopped two shots in net.

For Maine (1-3-0), Lauren Swant made two saves.

FIELD HOCKEY

MICHIGAN STATE 5, MAINE 4 OT: Allie Ahern scored in overtime to lift the 16th-ranked Spartans to the non-conference win in East Lansing, Mich.

Megan Fenton scored twice while Claire Johnson and Abby Barker also scored for Michigan State (1-1). Sierra Patton made eight saves for the Spartans.

Cassidy Svetek, Holly Stewart, Danielle Aviani and Nicole Sevey, a Skowhegan graduate, scored for Maine. Jessica Skillings, another Skowhegan grad, added an assist. Emily Corbet made 12 saves for Maine (1-1).

BRIDGEWATER STATE 1, THOMAS 0: Brittany Cullinane scored an unassisted goal to give the Bears (1-0) the non-conference win in Bridgewater, Mass. Kaylyn Allahyarian made three saves for the victory.

Abbie Charrier stopped six shots for Thomas (1-1).
