Mike Michaud is at it again. In 2012, his attack ad against Kevin Raye failed this newspaper’s truth test. Last year, he had to take down and correct an ad that used outdated statistics to attack Gov. Paul LePage. And last week, we find out that he cited his own press release in a campaign TV ad and tried to pass it off as coming from a real newspaper.
The avalanche of negative ads attacking Gov. Paul LePage from the left are bad enough as it is. Is it too much to ask that Michaud and his supporters at least stick with the facts and avoid being blatantly deceptive?
