Tuesday at 1:17 p.m., Mark Barry Melanson, 44, of Augusta, was arrested on charges of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, failure to provide a correct name, address and date of birth, and on a warrant by police responding to a report of shoplifting on Civic Center Drive.

4:13 p.m., Jennifer J. Bisson Watson, 32, of Augusta, was arrested on charges of failure to appear, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and on a warrant by police responding to a report of domestic disturbance on Cony Road.

5:15 p.m., Murray S. Verney III, 51, of Augusta, was arrested on a charge of domestic violence assault by police responding to a report of a domestic disturbance on Water Street.

11:35 p.m., Zachary William Wood, 23, of Augusta, was arrested on two warrants by police responding to a report of intoxicated persons on Memorial Bridge.
