RANGELEY — The town manager of a Maine town is quitting after four days on the job.

The Sun Journal reports Rangeley hired Jeff Grossman on Thursday and he quit on Monday. Select Board Chairman Dave Burgess says the selectmen and the manager agreed it wasn’t a good fit. Burgess says the town will release more information about the resignation later this week.

The next manager will be Rangeley’s fourth since the summer. Tiki White announced her resignation last summer pending the birth of a child. Fire Chief Tim Pellerin then became interim town manager.

Rangeley is a town of about 1,100 in western Maine.
