BELGRADE LAKES — Billy Rollins shot a low round of 33 to lead Messalonskee to a win over Cony 156-179 in the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference divisional semifinals played at Belgrade Lakes Golf Club.

Dylan Burton (39), Nick Labun (41) and Jason Smith (43) contributed to the winning total for the second-seeded Eagles (7-2). Jake Whitley led the third-seeded Rams (5-4) with a low round of 43, followed by Justin Rodrigue (44).

Messalonskee advances to face the winner of Monday’s semifinal between No. 4 Lawrence and No. 1 Oceanside next Tuesday.

FIELD HOCKEY

CONY 3, BANGOR 1: Arika Brochu had two goals and Delaney Keithley had two assists to help power the Augusta Rams to the win.

Bangor (2-7-0) made it a tie game at intermission on a goal from Torrie Nightengale with three seconds left in the first half, but Cony (6-3-0) responded out of the break.

Keithley set up Molly Silsby for the go-ahead goal with 24:58 remaining in the contest and Brochu added an insurance score 12 minutes later.

MESSALONSKEE 5, EDWARD LITTLE 1: All three of Lydia Dexter’s goals came on assists from Emily Hogan as the Eagles rolled the Red Eddies in Oakland.

Ally Leighton and Ally Corbett also had goals for Messalonskee (9-1-0).

Marissa Carter scored off an assist from Tyme Finnerty for the lone Edward Little (4-4-1) goal.

GARDINER 1, ERSKINE 0: Leah Weymouth’s goal at the 27:11 mark of the first half proved to be the difference in the Tigers’ win over the Eagles in South China.

Olivia Philbrook and Kaylin Mansir combined to pick up the shutout in net as Gardiner (7-1-1) outshot Erskine (4-4-1) 11-3 in the contest. The Tigers also held a 14-4 advantage in penalty corners.

Kelby Leary made five saves in net for the Eagles.

BOYS SOCCER

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2, WINTHROP 0: Rasmus Soegaard scored two goals to lead the Falcons to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Ramblers in Winthrop.

Tucker Rowland added an assist for Mountain Valley (7-0-1).

Matt Sekarak had 23 saves for Winthrop (0-6-1).

WOMEN’S FIELD HOCKEY

BOWDOIN 4, UMF 0: The Polar Bears stayed undefeated with a win over the University of Maine-Farmington in Brunswick.

Adrienne O’Donnell put Bowdoin (5-0-0) on the board less than three minutes into the game and later set up Emily Simonton to double the Bears’ advantage.

Simonton finished with two goals for Bowdoin, while Liz Znamierowski added a goal off assists from Meredith Tibbals and O’Donnell.

Alyssa Arsenult, a freshman from Winthrop, finished with 14 saves in the cage for UMF (3-3-0).
