AUGUSTA — Capital Area Technical Center will hold its annual fall open house from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at the technical center, 40 Pierce Drive.

The open house will include students work displays in the Auto Body program; air bag deployment in Auto Tech; build a toolbox in Building Construction; a dual enrollment seminar in the Business Academy; food prepared by the culinary arts students; tours of the playground and student-run preschool “My First School” in the Early Childhood program; demonstrations by the Health Academy; force continuum display by the Law Enforcement program; and learning how to solder, by the Plumbing and Heating program.

The technical center offers 15 career and technical programs to students from eight area high schools, including Cony High School, Gardiner Area High School, Erskine Academy, Hall-Dale High School, Maranacook Community High School, Monmouth Academy, Richmond High School and Winthrop High School.
