AUGUSTA — A jury on Thursday convicted Eric C. Anderson, 43, of Augusta, of a charge of theft by receiving stolen property.
The verdict was returned after a one-day trial in Kennebec County Superior Court.
Anderson was fined $500.
While he was originally charged with a felony theft, he was convicted of a misdemeanor because the value of the item — a TV — was less than $1,000.
The offense occurred July 29, 2013, in Augusta.
