In response to the Sept. 17 article, “Burnham plant to manufacture Lincoln Logs,” we would like to congratulate Michael Araten of K’Nex on moving production of Lincoln Logs back to the United States. It is always great to see American companies make an investment in American manufacturing.

At Channellock Inc., we built our reputation by manufacturing arguably the most reliable pliers in America for more than 128 years. Our pliers are forged, machined, heat treated, and assembled, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, so we know about investing in American manufacturing and, more importantly, the American workforce. Many of our associates have been with the company for decades, some upward of 40 years, so we take American-made goods seriously.

We are glad to see an iconic brand, like Lincoln Logs, re-joining the American manufacturing movement.

Again, we would like to thank you, K’NEX, Lincoln Logs and the Pride Manufacturing Company on reshoring production and say, “Welcome home.”

President and chief operating officer (COO)
