The second of Maine’s moose hunting sessions has ended.
The session that began on Oct. 13 and ended Saturday covered 19 of the state’s 29 wildlife management districts.
The third and final moose hunting session will run from Nov. 3 to Nov. 29. That hunt is scheduled for a more limited part of the state, including six of the wildlife management districts.
An earlier moose hunting session in a limited part of the state ran from Sept. 22 to 27. A “resident only” moose hunt day is set for Nov. 1 in six of the wildlife management districts.
