The time has come for residents of Augusta to stop playing the blame game and to elect a no-nonsense mayor who will use common sense to move Augusta in the right direction.
We have some people in authority, such as councilors, city manager and assistant manager, who would rather concentrate on getting more money from state revenue sharing than working to make Augusta more prosperous by attracting better businesses. It is not all of the council, but sadly a majority, and that is why we need a man with Bill Dowling’s business savvy. A vote for Bill Dowling will be the right step to take.
