I am writing in support of the candidacy of Cristina “Cris” Evers, a Democrat from China, who is running to represent District 79 (China, Albion and most of Benton) in the Maine House of Representatives. Cris is a native of the area and attended Erskine Academy.

She worked in banking from ages 18 to 57, starting as a clerk and ending as a vice president and trust officer, with accounts all over Maine. She is now a real estate agent, working for Lawrence Adams Realty in China. In addition, she sits on the board of the United Way of Kennebec Valley and the Augusta Food Bank.

I don’t think you can find a more well-rounded resume for public service. She is hard working, fiscally responsible and has a strong sense of public service. I hope others in District 79 will join me in voting for her this Nov. 4.
