I traveled 1,408 miles throughout House District 76 from Sept. 17 to Oct. 11, in the towns of Belgrade, Fayette, Mount Vernon, Rome, Vienna and Wayne, going door-to-door to 3,201 homes and listened to the concerns that are most important to residents dealing with government issues.

We talked about many topics, including property taxes, the state funding its share of education at the full amount of 55 percent, and increasing its share of revenue sharing back to the full amount to local towns and municipalities to reduce the tax burden on property taxes.

Road and highway infrastructures need to desperately be improved. Circuit breaker and homestead exemption should be restored to its full amount. Hopefully, I will have the opportunity to bring these concerns to the capital.
