Halloween at the Old Mill in Vassalboro is expected to draw hundreds Friday night.

The former American Woolen Mill in Vassalboro is now a the haunted walk, the product of work by volunteers who have assembled representations of bloody corpses, graveyards, skeletons, hanging monsters, spiders, cobwebs, bats, rats, spooky lights, music and some unexpected surprises, according to organizer Ray Breton.

Breton and family members along with about three dozen volunteers have spent the  past few weeks getting ready for the event.

“Last year we had 1,000 people go through the mill and kids were lined up way out to Main Street,” Breton said. He added that he plans to have 90-pounds of candy to hand out.

”We do it for the kids and the community,” Brenton said.

The haunted walk will be open from 5-8 p.m.
