Eliot Cutler might be the best candidate for governor, but Adlai Stevenson might also have been the best, as most assuredly would have been John Kerry and Al Gore. But we will never know, will we?
So Cutler should do the noble thing and stop criticizing Mike Michaud and urge his supporters to vote for Michaud. We do not need four more years of viscous and nasty bipartisanship, a casual relationship with the truth, waste of taxpayers’ money, and a less-than-sympathetic attitude toward the poor and the sick, not to mention much more embarrassment.
