Two New York City men were arrested Friday in Lewiston for selling crack cocaine out of their motel room, police said.

Joshua Bonnett, 23, and Marquis Aiken, 22, both of Brooklyn, New York, were charged with one count each of aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs after Maine Drug Enforcement Agency agents searched their room at the Super 8 Motel following a month-long investigation into drug trafficking out of area motels. Agents found drug scales, drug packaging materials, marijuana and 290 grams of crack cocaine with a street value of $30,000 and $1,200 in suspected drug proceeds, police said.

Aiken was involved in another felony drug arrest in the city in a case still under investigation, police said.

The two were taken to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn, where they were being held on $25,000 bail each. Their arraignment is scheduled for Monday.
