She worked for newspapers since she was in high school when she started out on her father’s New Hampshire newspaper. She is a graduate of Colby College and a recipient of national, regional and state journalism awards. When she is not working, she tries hard to follow her bliss.

Samantha Rinaldi, 40, of Gray died at a Portland hospital; the man accused of hitting her, Jay Westra, 58, of North Yarmouth, is the widower of the schoolteacher who went missing for six days before her body was found last fall.
