WINTHROP — The Bailey Public Library will close Monday, Nov. 24, for renovation and construction, according to a press release from the library.

The library will open Monday, Dec. 8, in a smaller, temporary space on the first floor of the Winthrop Commerce Center, 149 Main St. Hours starting on that date will be 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Mondays; 4-8 p.m. Tuesdays; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays; and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays; and closed Saturdays.

From Monday through Dec. 8, library items may be returned to the library’s book drop at 39 Bowdoin St. Online library services —including renewals — are available at www.baileylibrary.org. Library programs will resume at the commerce center on Dec. 8. Construction of the 5,500-square-foot addition began in August.

The library plans to open its new wing in late spring or early summer 2015. For more information, call 377-8673.
