GARDINER — School Administrative District 11 has been honored by the College Board with placement on the fifth annual AP District Honor Roll for increasing access to advanced placement course work while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of three or higher on AP Exams.

Inclusion on the 5th Annual AP District Honor Roll is based on the examination of three years of AP data, from 2012 to 2014, looking across 34 AP Exams, including world language and culture, according to a news release. “This recognition is the result of incredibly hardworking, dedicated teachers and administrators at Gardiner Area High School, working collaboratively with an amazing student body to achieve high academic success. The MSAD 11 community is proud of all they have accomplished,” Pat Hopkins, superintendent of schools, said in the release. SAD 11 is one of seven school districts in Maine receiving this recognition.
