WINDHAM – A Casco man was arrested on drunk driving charges late Saturday night after his vehicle crashed at the Windham rotary, caught fire, and set holiday decorations on fire.
The driver, 20-year-old Bradley Secord of Casco, was alone in his 2000 Ford Focus when his car went off the road at the Route 302 and Route 202 Rotary in Windham around 11:30 p.m.
According to a press release posted on the Windham Police Department’s Facebook page, Secord’s vehicle caught fire, which in turn set fire to holiday decorations.
When police arrived, the officer found Secord standing outside the vehicle. He was checked out by medical personnel before being placed under arrest and transported to the Cumberland County Jail.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
