BIDDEFORD – Biddeford police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that killed a female pedestrian on Sunday night.
Deputy Police Chief JoAnne Fisk said the incident took place around 5:15 p.m. in front of 6 Brackett St. Fisk said a 49-year-old woman died as a result of the collision.
The driver of the car has not been charged. The circumstances are still under investigation by the police department’s accident reconstruction unit.
Fisk said that the woman’s identity won’t be released until her next of kin have been notified. Both the victim and the driver live on Brackett Street.
The fatal collision took place about one block from the scene of Sunday night’s apartment building fire at 25 Green St. in Biddeford.
