Central Maine Power says all but 12 customers have their electricity back in the aftermath of the Thanksgiving snowstorm that at one point left more than 157,000 homes and businesses in the dark.

As of 9 p.m. Saturday, the utility had outages in only seven towns: three customers each in Harpswell and Limington, two in Freeport, and one each in Brunswick, Yarmouth, Boothbay Harbor and Edgecomb, according to the CMP website.

The peak of the outages occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving.

Damage from the storm – which dumped more than a foot of heavy, wet snow late Wednesday and early Thursday – was particularly severe in York, Cumberland, Lincoln and Sagadahoc counties.
