I have been disappointed by the number of people in our country who believe they need to protest the shooting of Michael Brown by police Officer Darren Wilson.
I understand his family and the community of mostly African Americans in Ferguson, Mo., but the mayor of Portland?
Brown was 18 years old and considered an adult. At 6 feet 4 inches tall and 290 pounds, he was a sizable man and not a child. Wilson said Brown tried to take his gun from him, so this “unarmed man” wanted to become armed.
Wilson said Brown charged him and it would be reasonable for Wilson to have felt that Brown still wanted that gun. Unfortunately for Brown, he only got the bullets.
Why does all this make him deserving of honor? All death is sad for someone, but all do not deserve to be honored in their death.
