Mt. Blue Regional School District Music Department has announced the performances in its upcoming concert season. All concerts are free and open to the public.
• The Mt. Blue Middle School sixth-grade orchestra, the seventh-eighth grade orchestra and Mt. Blue High School orchestra will perform in a joint concert on Thursday, Dec. 4 in the Bjorn Auditorium on the Mt. Blue campus in Farmington, beginning at 7 p.m. These orchestras are under the direction Nancy Beacham and Steven Muise.
• On Tuesday, Dec. 9, the student musicians from the Academy Hill School will perform in the Academy Hill School gym in Wilton, beginning at 7 p.m. This concert includes the fourth- and fifth-grade orchestras, the fifth-grade band and the fifth-grade chorus.
These student musicians are directed by Lindsay Burke, Daryl Pike and Steven Muise.
• The Mt. Blue Middle School sixth- through eighth-grade bands and choruses will present their concert on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m. in the Mt. Blue Middle School gym in Farmington. Directors for these ensembles are Karen Beacham, Lindsay Burke, Scott Dunbar, and Darryl Pike.
• The final concert is Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Cape Cod Hill School in New Sharon.
Student musicians in fourth and fifth grades will perform in the fifth-grade chorus. The fifth-grade band and the fourth- and fifth-grade orchestras are under the direction of Lindsay Burke, Karen Beacham and Nancy Beacham. The concert is in the gym.
Concert snow dates (if needed) are Wednesday, Dec. 17, and Thursday, Dec. 18.
Location will be determines as needed. Concert time remains 7 p.m.
