AUGUSTA — Central Maine Power Co. is accepting donations of new, store-bought and handmade mittens, hats and scarves for its 11th annual Community Mitten Drive, according to a news release.
Collection boxes will be available at all Reny’s retail stores, including local stores at 116 Main St. and 163 Main St., Damariscotta; 33 Main St., Dexter; 200 Broadway, Farmington; 185 Water St., Gardiner; 65 Main St., Madison; 131 Main St., Pittsfield.
The company works with schools throughout the state to get donated items on the hands and heads of Maine children. The drive will continue through February 2015.
