SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman Ryan M. Lawn recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, according to a Joint Hometown News Service news release.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Lawn is the son of Ridge A. Lawn and Nanette D. Shannon; and the step-son of William J. Shannon, all of Detroit, Maine.
He is a 2006 Maine Central Institute graduate.
