FARMINGTON — Franklin Community Health Network recently announced in a news release the annual employee recognition banquet was held at the University of Maine at Farmington’s North Dining Hall. Employees with five or more years of service and at five-year milestones were invited to attend along with their managers.

The event featured a buffet, entertainment by comedian Bob Marley, booklets with anecdotes from a supervisor about each employee and door prizes.

Mary O’Donal was acknowledged for 54 years of service. O’Donal started her career at the original facility on the Fairbanks Road. When the hospital opened at its present location at 111 Franklin Health Commons in 1975, O’Donal held several positions before settling into the medical records department where she has been for more than 20 years.

Among the 97 employees recognized were: Carol James, laundry, 50 years; 40 years: Cheryl Bunker, accounting, and Michelle Lucey, nursing; 35 years: Marsha James, Farmington Family Practice, Dianne Parker, laboratory, and Lesa Thompson, laboratory; 30 years: Carolyn Hastings, radiology, Lori Ireland, coding, and Marie Wade, physical rehabilitation and sports medicine; 25 years: Joel Chandler, radiology, Celeste Farrington, Farmington Family Practice, and Patricia Richards, Nancy Simpson and Nancy Thomas, all in nursing.

Employees recognized received certificates, pins, scarves and a cash gift based upon years of service.
