SKOWHEGAN — Somerset Career & Technical Center recently announced in a news release the success of its welding technology students at the 15th Annual Craft Championships.
The event was hosted by the Associated Builders and Contractors of Maine at the Augusta Civic Center Nov. 21.
Nathan Morris placed first and Austin Clemons placed second in the second-year welding students’ competition. Both Morris and Clemons are students at Skowhegan Area High School.
Damian Greene of Carrabec High School placed second in the first-year welding students’ competition.
These students are instructed by Troy Twitchell in the Cianbro Weld Shop through collaboration with the Cianbro Corporation of Pittsfield.
