Christmas in Old Hallowell has been moved to Sunday because of freezing rain and rain predicted for Saturday.

The annual parade down Water Street will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by fireworks at 5:15 p.m., according to Susan MacPherson, one of the organizers.

Saturday’s forecast calls for snow, freezing rain and sleet before 2 p.m., then freezing rain for about an hour and then rain after 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. New snow and sleet accumulation of one to two inches is possible.

On Sunday, it will be sunny with a high near 29 degrees.
