FARMINGTON —The Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County has released its flu shot schedule. Staff will be available to administer the influenza vaccine (seasonal flu shot) to individuals 18 years old and older at numerous sites throughout the community, according to a news release from the coalition.

• Thursday, Dec. 11, Weld Town Office, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; and Carthage Town Office, 1-2:30 p.m.

• Friday, Dec. 12, Farmington Public Library, 10-11:30 a.m.

• Monday, Dec. 15, Stratton Library, 10 a.m.-noon

• Thursday, Dec. 18, Phillips Town Office, 9-10:30 a.m.; Rangeley Library, 11:15 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; and Strong Community Building, 2-3:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, Dec. 23, Industry Town Hall, 1-2:30 p.m.

• Tuesday, Dec. 30, Carrabassett Valley Library, 2-4 p.m.

In the event of inclement weather that involves school closures, flu clinics on those dates will be rescheduled.

Reminder: Bring your insurance card and information. Most insurance companies cover the cost of receiving the shot. For individuals who do not have insurance there is a suggested donation of $20 or whatever you can afford. Healthy Community Coalition purchases all vaccine used for the public clinics and appreciates donations to help cover costs for those in need.
