GARDINER — A commemorative service will take place at 10 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, at Christ Church, 2 Dresden Ave.

The service will commemorate the second anniversary of the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy and all victims of gun violence, according to a news release from the church. The service will include a special Prayers of the People to remember Maine residents who have lost their lives to gun violence in 2014.
