GARDINER —St. Joseph Church will hold its 43rd annual gift giving tree during 4 p.m. Masses Saturday, Dec. 13, and 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, according to a news release from Clarence McKay.
Parishioners, including children, are encouraged to bring wrapped gifts marked to indicate age and gender. Gifts of toys, games, dolls, mittens and gloves for ages 11-13 and sweaters for children, men and women, are requested.
Donations of boxed stuffing, cranberry sauce, gift cards and money are also welcome.
Following the prayers of the faithful at each Mass, parishioners will be invited to bring their gifts forward to place under a tree by the altar.
Volunteers will gather from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, to sort gifts, and will begin packing baskets at 6 p.m. Members of the Knights of Columbus and other volunteers will begin delivering baskets at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20.
