Nomination papers for the spring 2015 municipal elections in Rome are available at the Rome Town Office.

Deputy Town Clerk Kimberly Brooks has nomination papers for the posts of first, second and third selectman; town clerk; road commissioner; property tax collector; and treasurer. All who win those posts are elected to one-year terms of office.

Papers also are available for a three-year term as a school board representative to Regional School Unit 18, Messalonskee and China schools, which includes the towns of Belgrade, China, Oakland, Rome and Sidney.

Rome’s representative to the board is Leonard LeGrand, who said Tuesday that he had yet to decide about seeking re-election.

The papers must be returned to the town clerk at the Town Office by 8 p.m. Jan. 26, 2015.

The elections are scheduled for March 13, 2015.

Brooks can be reached at the Town Office by calling 397-4011.
