WINSLOW — Alyssa Wood led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points as the Winslow girls basketball team sank rival Waterville 45-35 in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Tuesday night.

Heather Kervin, Devin Fitzgibbons and Hannah Doble each finished with nine points for Winslow (2-1).

Jordan Jabar and Fotini Shanos had 14 and 11 points, respectively, for Waterville (0-4).

MADISON 42, MONMOUTH 26: Kayla Bess scored 15 points and had six rebounds to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Mustangs in Madison.

Erin Whalen scored six points and had 10 rebounds for Madison (3-2), while Madeline Wood added nine points.

Jenna Davies and Sidney Wilson each scored eight points for Monmouth (3-1).

HAMPDEN 50, MESSALONSKEE 39: The Broncos outscored the Eagles 13-5 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the 11-point win in Oakland.

Erin Murphy and Marissa Gilpin paced Hampden (2-2) with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Sophie Holmes had a game-high 20 for Messalonskee (2-2) in the loss.

SKOWHEGAN 30, BREWER 27: Tracey Swanson had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Indians past the Witches in Skowhegan.

Noah Stevens added seven points and 14 rebounds for Skowhegan (2-1).

Courtney Pearson hit a pair of 3-pointers en route to nine points for Brewer (0-4).

FOREST HILLS 47, VALLEY 37: Linda Riley (14) and Keely Taylor (10) combined for 24 points to pace the Tigers past the Cavaliers in Jackman.

Haley Cuddy and Caitlin Logston scored eight points each in the win for Forest Hills (4-1).

Hallie Miller finished with 12 points for Valley (2-2).

BANGOR CHRISTIAN 53, TEMPLE 35: BCS (1-3) dealt Temple (1-1) its first loss of the season Tuesday in Bangor.

Veronica Rossignol led Temple with 11 points in the loss, Kiara Carr added eight and Amy LaVerdiere chipped in with six.

GARDINER 61, MCI 50: Mary Toman scored 13 points and had 13 rebounds to lead the Tigers to a KVAC B win over the Huskies in Gardiner.

Morgan Carver scored 14 points, while Lauren Chadwick added 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists for the Tigers (2-2).

April McAlpine scored 18 points for MCI (1-3).

MOUNT VIEW 38, ERSKINE 32: Dinah Bilodeau scored 16 points as the Mustangs defeated the Eagles in Thorndike.

Jenni Nadeau added nine points for Mount View (1-3).

Katie Gamage scored eight points and Mallory Chamberlain scored seven for Erskine (0-4).

RANGELEY 76, ISLESBORO 12: Seve Deery-DeRaps led four players in double figures as the Lakers cruised to the win at Thomas College in Waterville.

Deery-DeRaps scored 18 points, while Taylor Esty had 13 and Blayke Morin and Sydney Royce added 10 apiece for the Lakers (4-0).

BOYS BASKETBALL

HAMPDEN 64, MESSALONSKEE 62, OT: Nick Gilpin’s running layup with four seconds left in overtime lifted the Broncos to the KVAC A win in Hampden.

Messalonskee’s Nick Mayo sent the game to overtime with a 3-pointer at the end of regulation. Jake Black made two 3-pointers for Hampden (3-1) in the extra period.

Mayo had 32 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks and three assists for Messalonskee (3-1). Gilpin led Hampden (3-1) with 21 points.

RANGELEY 53, ISLESBORO 52: Down seven points at the half, Rangeley rallied to take the East/West Conference win at Thomas College in Waterville.

Rangeley’s full court pressure in the second half helped pace the Lakers (3-1) rally. Timmy White led Rangeley with 26 points, while Orrin Mitchell added 12.

Connor Grindle led Islesboro (2-1) with 23 points.

FOREST HILLS 58, VALLEY 34: The Tigers had three players with double-doubles in a win over the Cavaliers in Bingham.

Ryan Petrin led Forest Hills (4-0) with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Brandon Ouellette added 11 points and 10 assists, while Tanner Daigle contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds. Matt Turner nearly made it four double-doubles, with 11 points and eight steals.

Cody Laweryson led Valley (3-1) with 11 points.

MARANACOOK 83, NOKOMIS 76: Kent Mohlar scored 25 points and Kyle Wilbur added 21 to lead the Black Bears to the KVAC victory.

Cam Brochu chipped in with 16 points for Maranacook as well.

Noah Kershner scored a team-high 23 points for the Warriors.

OXFORD HILLS 71, LAWRENCE 56: Tyus Ripley scored 16 points and Jake Yates added 12 to lead the Vikings to the KVAC A win in South Paris.

Oxford Hills (2-1) used a 17-9 run in the third quarter to take the lead. Dustin Simpson-Bragg scored 23 points for Lawrence (0-3).

MOUNT VIEW 30, ERSKINE 28: Nathan Wren scored a game-high 21 points, including two key 3-pointers in the fourth, to help the Mustangs rally for the KVAC B victory.

The Mustangs (1-3) trailed 23-20 going into the fourth.

Trever Hubbard scored a team-high seven points to lead the Eagles (0-4).

GARDINER 54, MCI 43: The Tigers raced out to a 10-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back in a win over the Huskies in Pittsfield.

Seth McFarland paced Gardiner (3-1) with 18 points, while Jordan Lamb finished with 15 points and six rebounds.

Todor Imsir had a game-high 20 for MCI (2-2) in the loss.

BANGOR CHRISTIAN 48, TEMPLE 20: Scott Peterson and Josh Palmeter combined for 23 points in a rout of Temple in Bangor.

Dominic Blaisdell had a team-high nine points for Temple (1-2) in the loss.

WATERVILLE 6, CAMDEN HILLS 0: A pair of first period goals from Dalton Henderson would prove to be enough in the Purple Panthers’ shutout win over the Windjammers at Sukee Arena.

Nick Denis, Jackson Aldrich, Michael Oliveira and Zach Smith also scored goals for Waterville (2-0), while Nathan Pinnette made 17 saves to pick up his second straight shutout.

Jet Magri made 27 saves for Camden Hill (3-1) in the loss.
