SIDNEY — The 2015 Sidney Historical Society recently announced in a news release that calendars, featuring photographs and information from Sidney’s past, are available for purchase. The calendar is compiled and edited by Charlotte and Bill Sawtelle, with pictures and information provided by society and community members. It is the society’s biggest annual fundraiser.

The sixth in a series, this year’s edition features photographs depicting Sidney families, historic buildings and vehicles, farming activities, logging and ice harvesting, a town meeting in session and school and community groups. In addition to the more than 70 photographs, important 2015 dates for residents are highlighted. There is a page of town information including office hours, telephone numbers, and the names of town officials and committee members.

All six editions of the calendar, from 2010 to 2015, are available for purchase for $10 each at the Town Office and from Sidney Historical Society members.

Calendars can be mailed for $12 each. For more information, call Charlotte Sawtelle at 547-3797.
