The town of Solon now has nomination papers available for the following elected positions:
• Selectman/assessor/overseer of the poor (three-year term);
• Municipal clerk/tax collector (one-year term);
• Treasurer (one-year term);
• Road commissioner (one-year term);
• Regional School Unit 74 board of directors (three-year term).
Nomination papers are available from the clerk during regular business hours from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 6 to 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to a news release from the town of Solon. Completed nomination papers must be returned to the clerk by end of business on Jan. 14, 2014.
